I had an excellent experience at TSS. My friend and I attended a First Shots class as we had never used a firearm. The facility is wonderful and well taken care of, but our instructor Grover truly made it an incredible experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and by the end of the class we felt very confident operating a pistol safely. He answered all of our questions and corrected as when needed. Not to mention we also had a blast! Thank you so much to Grover and the rest of the crew at TSS for welcoming us in!

I signed up for an NSSF "First Shots" class after talking to one of the staff at a gun show last month. I am considering a firearm for home protection and recreational shooting and wanted to get some training to build confidence before committing to a purchase. We had a 2 hour classroom session where safe handling of a firearm was emphasized, a brief session in the simulator, then live fire exercises in the range. It was a great experience and our trainer Mike was on-point. It was also great to see young people and a father/son taking the course.
UPDATE: Since this review I purchased a handgun and completed my DE Conceal/Carry course at TSS and have obtained my DE and PA Conceal/Carry permits. I also attended a "legal issues" course and a "Second Shots" class where I was the only attendee and received some great training/feedback from Grover. TSS is my go-to range since it is near my workplace.

She will learn the basics of firearm safety, responsibility and some hands-on training in a comfortable environment. Classroom training as well as time in the range is a perfect first step for the beginner. I experienced a small class of supportive, nonjudgmental women and a knowledgeable and supportive instructor. I highly recommend Grover as an instructor. He truly wanted a great experience for all his students, no matter what age.

NSSF 1st shots was a great introductory course. Grover was an excellent instructor and provided a relaxed atmosphere and overview of the basics. It made for a less intimidating experience. Highly recommend for newbies!

We were travelling from Montreal and spent an hour there and love it….first time shooting a gun and a riffle for us….highly recommend.

Took the Delaware State Police Permit to Purchase class instructed by Grover on 10/18/25. Very good experience - course was informative and practical and the instructor was knowledgeable and friendly. As a first time shooter, the classroom portion of the course gave me confidence to head to the range, and the guided range session provided valuable experience.
